Linwood Cocktails is a fantastic spot in Bay Shore, perfect for a night out with friends or a cozy date. The ambiance strikes a balance between trendy and relaxed, with a warm, inviting atmosphere that makes you want to stay awhile. The cocktail menu is creative, with a great selection of unique, well-crafted drinks that truly stand out. You can tell they put thought into each ingredient and presentation--definitely not your average bar experience! The food menu offers a good range of options that pair nicely with the cocktails. We tried the small plates, and everything was fresh and flavorful. The service was friendly and attentive, though the place did get a bit busy, so there was a bit of a wait at times. However, it's a testament to their popularity, and the quality was worth it. All in all, Linwood Cocktails is a gem in Bay Shore with delicious drinks, tasty bites, and an enjoyable atmosphere. If you're looking for a place to unwind with quality cocktails, it's a great choice!
It's good. Food is good. It's just missing a few things to be great. Went for steak and martini night. This time the service was excellent. Desert is a cookie. I was thinking hey, specialty cookie but no. It was ONE small cookie that could have come from a chips ahoy bag. This place is soo close to being great.. but the small things like that kinda leave you wanting more. This was our second time here. The first time we waited 10 minutes before any even came to the table. Then one of the orders was completely wrong. The server was very apologetic and gave us a free desert. The second time was much better. I definitely recommend giving this place a try.
Had a nice meal with friends at the Linwood. The dishes were original & the cocktails were great. The ambience in the restaurant was great! The service & food was also great! Just moved into the neighborhood & will definitely be back!
I'm shocked it took me so long to go there to begin with. The place has a great atmosphere, staff were friendly and everything I ate and drank was very good. I look forward to coming back sooner than later!
Visit Date: September 2, 2024 I came here with my friend as a plus one for a wedding reception she got invited to. They did a very nice afternoon wedding reception. At first they served drinks and walked around with appetizers. I had athletic N/A beer. I had the cheese curds and the chicken slider for appetizers and a piece of the bread. The best were the cheese curds they were so good! Greasy, cheesy, yummy! I thought there were only going to be appetizers and I was fine with that, but to my surprise they had a buffet out for food. Not a buffet where you could get plate after plate after plate, they had people behind the counter dishing out food. I had the sweet potatoes, shrimp and grits, salad and pasta. Everything was delicious. The coffee was also excellent, I judge a place by the coffee they serve. If I expect the coffee to not be so great like diner coffee it's okay but if I expect a good cup of coffee and I'm disappointed I am not very happy. The linwood is a lovely place, I would come here again!
Overall, my experience at Linwood was positive, but there were a few downsides to note. This was my third visit to the restaurant and I decided to come for their Thursday date night special, which costs $95 and includes two meals, an appetizer, dessert, and wine. The value for the price was excellent, and the service was top-notch. However, one issue was that the window was open and mosquitoes were coming in, which was a bit of a nuisance. Despite this, I still enjoyed the food and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant.
At the end of the marvelous Main Street of bayshore is The Linwood. We came here for a friend's birthday dinner greeted by the gracious host. The decor is trendy and spacious. The chairs were the cutest blue velvet seats. Our server Mikayla took very good care of us and was the epitome of service with a smile. We had to start off with their wonderful selection of rotating cocktails. We got the SPF 100 and the Carson Daly. Both were good but the SPF 100 really shined. It had myriad of flavors that paired well with the smokiness of the mezcal. There were so many options but we wanted to share and the small plates and handhelds were the way to go. We got the frito misto, the cheese curds, and the filet mignon sliders. We asked for the filets to be cooked medium and they came out as requested, tender with a slightly pink center. The blue cheese sauce on the sliders paired so well with the pungent onion jam and buttery filet mignon. It came with a side of fries that reminded me of bk fries in the best way. We probably should've asked but I feel like it could've been three sliders instead of two. The frito misto was a generous portion but it was supposed to be calamari and shrimp, kind of disappointing because we only got literally two shrimps. The cheese curds were scrumptious. Wonderful breading on the squeaky cheese bits that was paired with an herbaceous marinara. Overall we really enjoyed the service and the food was good. I look forward to going again to try their frequently changing options.
Great restaurant! Had dinner at the bar and Peter was fantastic, he highly recommended the shrimp and grits and they were delicious- 7 good sized fantail shrimp. The shrimp and grits with sausage were seasoned perfectly and very satisfying.
Wonderful local bar with an awesome drink and food menu! Had a ton of different small plates and appetizers and the company was excellent! Bartenders are knowledgeable and awesome!
